He: Describe Swimgerie in one word?
Seductive.
He: What made you decide to start your own clothing line?
The honest answer, I was tired of looking at incredibly gorgeous women feeling self-conscious, and anything but sexy in their incredibly unflattering swimsuits. Swimsuits honestly haven’t evolved much in the last 65 years since the first bikini was made in 1946. Women and fashion have evolved tremendously since then, in
every sense, so why hasn’t women’s swimwear?
He: Who is the Swimgerie girl?
The Swimgerie girl is today’s modern woman. She is confident, beautiful, and comfortable with her femininity. She’s alludes sex appeal, yet maintains the upmost level of class and sophistication. Every guy wants her, and every girl wants to be her.

He: He wants to officially thank you for making girls look hotter with your swimsuits, where do you get the inspiration?When I’m designing a collection, I look to the bedroom for inspiration rather than traditional swim trends. I wanted to create a line that made women feel sexy and fierce in their Swimsuit, so I gave it some thought. When do I feel the sexiest and most empowered as a woman? The answer: in Lingerie.
I try to capture the allure that lingerie provides and incorporate it into my swimwear designs. My hope is to capture that feeling of unstoppable femininity us women feel in our little lace unmentionables, and provoke that feeling in women wearing Swimgerie.
He: What are some upcoming swim trends the readers should be aware of?
Our latest collection, La Collection Allumeuse (Allumuse meaning “to turn on”, “a tease” or “to excite sexually” in French) embodies trends of two very sexy basics, leather and lace.
You’ll see a lot of bright, florescent colors with the fabrics, which are really popular in Swimwear right now, mixed with leather-like or lace trims, which are always popular in lingerie.
The scrunch butt is very trendy right now among swim lines, but I think the “cheeky” cut HE loves is going to make a big impression in 2012- Allumeuse actually features an all lace version.
He: Your “La Collection Allumeuse” just launched and its insanely sexy, not even sure that does it justice, if you had to pick one piece from the collection as your favorite which would it be?
One of my personal favorite from the collection is the “Nik Richie” bikini. It’s nothing like I have ever seen in Swimwear (or lingerie for that matter), and I think it’s incredibly sexy.
I wanted to design a suit that was unique and mysterious, and had the "naughty" feel of lingerie. I think the "floating" illusion of the leather-like fabric in the bottom and bra cups of the top with the see-thru mesh capture that arousing feeling perfectly. And, if you think it's hot in the picture, wait until you see how hot you feel with it on.
And, yes, it was named after Nik Richie of thedirty.com, we figured we’d show him how to do “dirty”, but in a very good way.
He: What is the biggest mistake people make in fashion?
Wearing black with brown. Please don’t ever do it.
He: In your opinion, what’s the biggest "fashion faux pas?"
A large part of anything that was trendy in the 80’s. Clearly we were all still under the influence of the intoxicating 70’s to think any of those trends were cool (although there were a few incredible trends created).
He: What’s the best advice you can give the readers about style and fashion?
Wear what you like and feel sexy in; don’t worry about labels, what other people are wearing, or what the media brainwashes you into thinking you should wear.
People come in all different shapes and sizes, what looks good on one person may not look good on another. We all also have different personalities, your style and fashion should express who you are, and flatter your body type.
He: Are granny panties ever acceptable?
For me personally- NEVER.
But then again, if a woman is confident and feels sexy inside, she can make anything look sexy on the outside. Throw a pair of granny panties on Gisele Bundchen and I promise you she will still bring Tom Brady to his knees.
He: He is a big supporter of swimwear and heels, what is your take? Body
chains and swimwear?
I love high-heels, they’re definitely on my top 3 list of all-time favorite fashion inventions. They make our legs look longer, our butt look higher, and provide an overall toned and flexed look to our lower body; so, why wouldn’t we want to wear them, ESPECIALLY in Swimwear?
As for body-chains and Swimwear, have you hacked into our Summer 2012 collection HE?
He: He believes heels are a must, what are you thoughts?
I agree completely! I pity men for the sole reason that it isn’t socially acceptable for them to wear high-heels. Being a girl is so much more fun…
He: If you could have your clothes appear on the floor of one celebrity sex
tape, who's would it be?
Miley Cyrus aka “Hannah Montana.” Oops, I just went there. Relax, she’s 18.
He: What does the future hold for Swimgerie?
We have seen such a tremendous amount of success since our launch, so we are really excited for the future of Swimgerie.
Our first ever model search is currently underway. Models can enter on our website for a chance to be the next Swimgerie “Femme Fatale”, as well as win $1000 in cash and prizes.
As for the future of the brand as a whole, French fashion historian Oliver Saillard once said that fashion success is due to “the power of women, and not the power of fashion,” and that “the emancipation of swimwear has always been linked to the emancipation of women.” I couldn’t agree more.
Swimgerie has seen the success it has due to women. Today’s woman needed a sexier, more flattering option for their Swimwear needs without resorting to tacky barely there string bikinis, Swimgerie fills that need, and we promise to continue to be innovative and seductive for years to come.
He: Any famous last words?
